A Force Majeure, and slutty as HELL!

I just got done with the newest Thomas Harris novel, Hannibal Rising. It wasnt as good as the first two Lecter related novels (Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs) but is far better than Hannibal. It was a pretty quick read, and for the most part was worth the effort. plus, it was interesting to see what the cause of such a monster was.
the movie comes out in the next couple weeks, so as soon as i see it i'll post my thoughts in the movies forum.

I don't think I've picked what I'm going to read next ... the last thing I read was the 4th book in the Dreamers Series by David Eddings. Not sure I liked what he did there at the end, but it was an interesting seried. My favorites of his are the Belgariad and the Mallorean series ... as well as Regina's Song.
Right now I'm just puttering around my "library" trying to decide if I want to read research type books or get another story to read.

Now currently reading "Moon Magick" by DJ Conway. Assigned reading for my 201 classes. This book I really love.
Last non class book I read was "Dancing the Goddess Incarnate" by Dorothy Morrison and Kristin Madden. LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. I think if I can I'll schedule a reading of this book at least 1-2 times a year. Got so much out of it.

I just finished reading all the available, numbered, Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. They were fun.

Right now, I have a Carolyn Hart recorded book in my car ("Southern Ghost") and I picked up an Aurora Teagarden installment of Charlaine Harris (I forgot the name!). The Carolyn Hart mystery is read by Kate Reading, and she has the most wonderful voice.
I've only ever listened to Charlaine Harris's books, so reading a print version is a different experience. As much as I enjoy being read to during my commutes, nothing beats curling up with a terrier, glass of wine, and a book.

For some reason I just can't listen to books in audio form ... I tend to tune them out ... probably comes from trying to practice my own music in a room full of other people practicing their own stuff ... but sometimes I do that when I'm reading too ... I'll continue to read without retaining any of it and next thing I know, I'm half way down the next page.

I got into audio books after getting XM radio a couple years back. I just love all the old detective radio programs, and sort of realized that listening to a story while driving helped me concentrate on the road better. Weird, huh?

ive just finished reading the Ebernezum triliogy by Craig Shaw Gardner. I think these books were all printed way before I was born but oh my god there funny. Along similar kinda lines of Terry Prachett but with a kids sense of humour. Recommend them to all if u can find them.
