So much for stretching Harm None out a week.  I started it yesterday morning and finished it this morning. (Of course I was off for the past two nights)

I liked it ... it was good ... I'm debating whether to start reading Perfect Trust before I get Never Burn A Witch, or just taking the week to finish out the other book I've been reading at work. (I've already read the prologue, but I might stop there).

Heh, I don't know.  I'll figure it out though.

Haven't heard a status report on Never Burn...Normally they don't actually go out of stock, and reprint runs get reordered while there are still some in the warehouse. Either way, I am guessing it shouldn't be much longer.

Harm None ROCKED!   Got me way hooked.  I ALMOST skipped my music fest in Atlanta to start the other book I had brought with me last year.  But LB would have wrung my neck cause the tix were spensive!

I did check the other book's availability last night (not that I have the money to order it at the moment, but should be getting the tax return tomorrow) and it was still sold out ... hopefully soon they'll be back in stock.

How long are we gonna have to wait for that little offshoot thingie in (what was it called?  Orpheus?) that you told me about last summer?  Thus far, I've snatched up everything you've ever had printed on or very near the release date. I've knocked over little old ladies and several glass display cases in order to get to these little tomes of glorious lexical adrenaline more quickly.

And now I hear that thingie ain't comin' out until FALL?

Actually, it's Courting Morpheus, and it's a horror anthology from Apex Publishing...

Last I heard it is supposed to be out this fall, but they haven't even given the authors a specific release date...

Hmmmm.... Come to think of it, I haven't received my check yet either... (LOL)

I was in second place when voting closed... They run "ballot stuffing" checks against the email addresses, etc, so we won't know the results until February...

All I know is I kept getting emails from folks saying they and their friends and their families had all voted for me, but I never budged out of second place, so the dude ahead of me was either WAYYYYY friggin' popular with a hellacious fan base, or he got hinky with the ballot stuffing...

Guess we'll see in a week or two. Would be nice to win for a second year in a row, but hey, it's just a prestige type award. It's not like I can eat it or even buy groceries with it....

I did that because I originally had typed "asshole", but thought better of it.  He is, but he's smart as hell and knew J.R.R. Tolkien personally, so I'll put up with his assholishness.
